These terms apply to everyone who uses PartyDrop, whether you organize an event or share photos as a guest. By using PartyDrop you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. The service
PartyDrop lets an organizer create an event and share a link or QR code. Guests use it to upload photos and videos, which are saved to the organizer's Google Drive. The service is currently free. We may change, add or remove features, or stop the service, at any time.
2. Organizers
- You sign in with your Google account and must follow Google's terms when using Google Drive.
- You are responsible for your events. That includes who you share the guest link with, how you share the files in your Drive, and having enough Drive storage.
- Let your guests know that their photos and videos will be saved to your Google Drive. If a guest asks you to remove their photos, please do so.
- You can remove events, delete files and folders, and revoke PartyDrop's access to your Google account at any time.
3. Guests
- You don't need an account. Anyone with an event's link can upload to it while the organizer keeps it open.
- Your uploads go to the organizer's Google Drive and are under the organizer's control. You can delete your own uploads in PartyDrop while the event is open. After that, ask the organizer.
4. Your content
- You keep ownership of the photos and videos you upload.
- By uploading, you allow the event organizer to keep, use and share them, and you allow PartyDrop to transfer, store and display them as needed to run the service.
- Only upload content you have the right to share, and respect the privacy and wishes of people who appear in your photos and videos.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use PartyDrop to:
- upload anything illegal, including any content that sexually exploits or endangers children;
- upload content that harasses, threatens or invades someone's privacy, or that you don't have the right to share;
- upload malware or anything other than photos and videos;
- try to access other people's events, uploads or accounts, or get around security or upload limits;
- overload, disrupt or scrape the service.
We may disable events or links that break these terms, and report illegal content to the authorities.
6. Third-party services
PartyDrop relies on Google (sign-in and Drive), Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database). We aren't responsible for those services, and your use of Google Drive is covered by Google's own terms.
7. No warranty
PartyDrop is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that it will always be available or error-free, or that every upload will succeed. Keep your own copies of anything important.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, PartyDrop and its operator are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of photos, videos or other data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using PartyDrop at any time. Organizers can ask us to delete their account by emailing bsateeshk@gmail.com. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of British Columbia.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will change the date at the top of this page when we do. If you keep using PartyDrop after a change, you accept the updated terms.
